Comment: You will need to get taxis from the apartment to the old town, but there is a phone to call them and they are reliable, safe and fairly cheap, so you are still saving staying here. Busses and trams will take you anywhere.
I even walked once, just to see. It takes time to get to the old town but you do get there!
The apartment itself is in a nice new building and well maintained.
The fridge was noisy when I was there in 2003 and the kitchen could have been more equipped.
Overall is a great place if you need comfort, cannot afford central places and like to avoid the tourists areas.
